Peace Dollar
The Peace Dollar was introduced in 1921 to commemorate the end of World War I, symbolizing America’s hope for peace. Designed by Anthony de Francisci, the obverse features a striking portrait of Lady Liberty with windswept hair, while the reverse showcases a majestic bald eagle perched on a rock, with "PEACE" inscribed below. Minted in 90% silver and 10% copper, Peace Dollars were issued until 1935, then revived in 2021 as a modern collector’s coin. With its smooth design and historical significance, it remains one of the most beloved U.S. silver coins.
